Kaap de Groene Hoop
Concept - Urbanplan - Visual identity - Web design
Kaap de Groene Hoop is a sustainable harbor featuring fourteen urban rak’s for entrepreneurs with a captivating ship and a green state of mind. Set in the heart of the lively NDSM Wharf, Kaap de Groene Hoop stimulates zero-emission transport welcoming wind powered vessels to load and unload while simultaneously the nautical métier, inextricably linked to Amsterdam, is preserved on floating workplaces.
I started working on this project more than two years ago, developing the concept and urban plan together with Woodies at Berlin. Two years later I am creating a strong visual identity for this unique harbour.
While keeping the original symbol intact (see previous project: Woodies at Berlin) and the minimalistic clarity of its language, the logo resembles the back of playing cards, connecting with the romantic idea of old harbours.
